Pumpkin decorating is one of the most enjoyable parts of autumn. We all know about carving a pumpkin, including with a Dremel tool. But here’s a super easy pumpkin decorating idea: paint patterns on the pumpkin using stencils and craft paint. This is a great way to add a little variety to your collection of decorated pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. Here’s our DIY Décor tutorial for quick and easy decorated pumpkins.
Here’s what you’ll need for this pumpkin decorating project:
Cut out the stencils of your chosen designs.
Peel off the backing of each of the adhesive stencils.
Stick the stencils in place on the pumpkin.
Paint over the stencil to leave the pattern in paint on the pumpkin.
Wait a few minutes for the paint to dry a bit.
Peel off the stencil. Be careful to pull the stencil off without smudging the paint.
Repeat the process with other stencils and/or other paint colors.
You’ll end up with a festive autumn pumpkin that will look great as part of a table centerpiece or grouped with other pumpkins on your doorstep.
