As we get ready for the 2014 Patio Style Challenge, we thought we’d share some of our favorite patio decor ideas from past editions.
Inviting friends over for an impromptu evening soiree is easy when your home is prepped and ready. These outdoor spaces, styled by our fabulous Style Challenge bloggers, are here to inspire you to get your outdoor spaces ready to impress.
This cozy, covered deck styled by the talented Joselyn Taylor of Simple Lovely is basically a big comfy pile of pillows, right? We love the way Joselyn accented dark neutrals and warm tones with a few metallics and bright green foliage.
Cassie of Hi, Sugarplum! put together this awesomely bright poolside space, with a couple of DIY projects and a lot of pink accents. Cassie shows us that a neutral patio set can be easily transformed into a colorful, focal point of an outdoor space.
Comfortable and stylish pillows are (obviously!) always on trend, and this family-friendly under deck patio is no exception. Erika Ward of BluLabel Bungalow created this comfortable space for her growing family with bold colors and geometric patterns.
Lifestyle blogger Kelly, of Fabulous K, paired a neutral and traditional patio set with modern accessories and bright colors. Leopard print pillows, pink and yellow accents really pop when paired with the traditional silhouette.
Practically combining a dining area with a lounge area can be a difficult task, but Kristin Jackson of The Hunted Interior seamlessly joined her stylish dual-purpose deck with a giant graphic pattern painted on the wood floor. Try this technique rather than an outdoor rug – we know you’ll be impressed with the results!
Designer Lauren Liess, of Pure Style Home, incorporated trendy gardening elements into her loose and comfortable space. Plus, by keeping the color palette neutral, Lauren’s patio blends seamlessly with her backyard landscape.
Blogger, Sara, of The By & By, shows us that a few simple accessories can communicate the vibe of an entire space. Combining warm and cool colors and a few succulent containers, Sara easily created a southwestern feel for her outdoor space!
Bright colors have a way of lifting our mood, don’t they? We love how lifestyle blogger Mandy, of Fabric Paper Glue, combined black and white, geometric, and floral patterns with this happy, intense green adirondack chair and reading nook. Mandy’s beautiful plant selection repeats the green theme and creates the illusion of a bigger space, though it’s a small patio space!
