Bloggers offering holiday decorating ideas in The Home Depot's 2013 Holiday Style Challenge

In October 2013, we asked 23 of our favorite DIY and design bloggers to decorate a space in their home for Christmas, and most importantly, to show us how they did it. This was the basis for our 2013 Holiday Style Challenge. Using a mystery collection of The Home Depot’s 2013 holiday products, each designer had only four weeks to bring some festive cheer to their home. You can see the end result by checking out their posts on our blog.

For your reference, here are the very talented participants in our 2013 Holiday Style Challenge:

First Row:

Amanda of Recycled Consign and Design loves to give old furniture a new look. She gives new life to furniture pieces as well as space through her shop in Utah, as well as her design blog!

Angela has an eclectic style and loves vintage furniture. She writes about her passion for style, typography, and graphic design on her blog, boutique la bohème.

Anna of In Honor of Design hails from Atlanta. She takes pleasure in the small things, and she shares her thoughts on life, family, design, and fashion on her blog.

Second Row:

Last spring, Brittany of the blog brittanyMakes joined us for our Patio Style Challenge, and we’re thrilled she’s back for another round of DIY and decorating. See her patio space here.

With a background in fine art and a killer blog, we can’t wait to see how Carrie of DreamGreenDIY and Carrie Waller Creative decorates her Christmas tree!

As an interior designer in the Bay Area, Courtney of Courtney Out Loud blew us away with his lush, urban courtyard. We can’t wait to see the holiday decorating ideas he comes up with.

Third Row:

Though it’s her first Style Challenge, Dayka Robinson is no stranger to design or style! When she’s not blogging, she’s designing gorgeous spaces for her clients or giving back through her non-profit organization, Room Service Atlanta.

Erika Ward of BluLabel Bungalow (and also co-founder of Room Service Atlanta with Dayka) designed a cozy, family-friendly patio space that we couldn’t help but love as a part of our Patio Style Challenge.

Just like her effervescent personality, Grace of A Storied Style designs spaces that are full of life and filled with color. We’re can’t wait to see what festive ideas she’ll come up with next.

Fourth Row:

Jewel was a part of our Patio Style Challenge, and we’re happy to welcome her back for another go! The savvy blogger behind Eat. Drink. Shop. Love. loves to entertain, so a holiday challenge seems right up her alley!

As a hardcore husband-and-wife DIY team, Julia & Chris of Chris Loves Julia (say that three times fast!) have a new house and a growing family. We look forward to seeing how they transform their front yard for Christmas!

Not only does Style Challenge alum Kelly of View Along the Way brings a stylish eye to every space, she has a killer sense of humor! Her posts have us inspired and entertaining from start to finish.

Fifth Row:

Kirsten is passionate about interior design, just take one look at her blog 6th Street Design School and you can’t help but walk away inspired.

Kristen of The Hunted Interior is a seasoned Style Challenge participant … for good reason. She always comes up with the cleverest DIYs and spaces, so we’re thrilled to have back for another challenge!

Lakeitha shares her home updates, DIY endeavors, and decorating projects on her blog lakeithaduncan, but don’t miss the gorgeous jewelry she designs?

Sixth Row:

Boston resident Lindsay of Everything LEB admits to being obsessed with Christmas, so much so that she would listen to Christmas carols year round if she could! On that note, we can’t wait to see the festive holiday space she designs for us!

Mandy of Fabric Paper Glue is a Washington bureaucrat by day, and an obsessive crafter by night. She also has her own Etsy shop! One glance at her blog, and you’ll immediately see her flare for mixing colors, patterns and textures.

Don’t let this stylish blogger fool you, she may craft, decorate, and DIY by night, but she’s actually an attorney by day! We’re so excited to have Michelle of Ten June on board for this year’s Holiday Style Challenge!

Seventh Row:

Monica hails from a small town in Texas, but her lifestyle blog Monica Wants It will leave you full with big ideas whether you’re in need of a home renovation project or a new recipe!

Naomi of Design Manifest is an interior designer in Pennsylvania. Her largest project to date is making over her own cozy cottage in her signature eclectic style. We’ve been following all of her updates, and can’t wait to see what kind of holiday decorating ideas she shares with us.

To say that Rashon of Mr. Goodwill Hunting has fantastic taste is a gross understatement! In both fashion and interiors, his designs leave his blog readers with fresh ideas on every visit.

Eighth Row:

Tamara is a freelance writer who loves interior design and decorating, as you’ll see when you take one glance at her stylish blog, Get It Girl Style! We’re delighted that she agreed to be a part of our Holiday Style Challenge and eager to see her festive space!

Whitney of The Curtis Casa is a Style Challenge veteran, a green thumb, and an Atlanta resident. We’re always excited to see what she comes up with. She blows us away with her decorating ideas every time!
