In our popular Holiday Style Challenge series, a few of our favorite bloggers created fresh holiday decorations and DIY Christmas decorating ideas to inspire us all to get in the holiday spirit. We saw plenty of great wreath decorating ideas, too, and a few creative uses! We love their fresh Christmas wreath ideas, and we know you will too. (Above is a beautiful wreath chandelier, complete with dangling ornaments by Grace Mitchell of A Storied Style.)
The deer bust and antler trend is still going strong. Take a hint from interior designer Kristin Jackson (of the Hunter Interior) and her black and gold living room. Hang a wreath over your animal busts for a quirky and trendy twist! They’ll appreciate being included in the holiday decor. :)
In keeping with the traditional look, hang a wreath over the fireplace. Update the look with an off-center cluster of ornaments. That’s what Angela Flournoy (of boutique la bohème) did with her elegant Christmas mantel.
Incorporating different types of greenery into a wreath is always a nice touch, but incorporating the ever-popular succulents? A fabulous idea! See how Emily A. Clark added succulents into her wreath and Christmas tree for a nature-inspired Christmas decor.
Anna Lisemeyer, of In Honor of Design, took the “deck the halls” theme literally when she hung wreaths on the walls around her styled her dining table and poinsettia place settings. We love the abundance of ornaments in these bushy wreaths and the continuation of the round/circle theme with that round mirror in the middle.
Chassity Evans, of Look Linger Love, adopted one particular design philosophy for her Christmas decorations. “Go big or go home” must have been Chassity’s inspiration when she chose this giant wreath that took over her front door!
Julia Marcum, of the DIY blog Chris Loves Julia, opted for a trio of wreaths on her front door, creating a fun snowman shape. You could try this look at home with wreaths of different shapes and sizes.
There you have it. Endless options for creative wreath decorating this holiday season. We hope these ideas inspire and encourage you to try out new decorations in your home this holiday.
