Lighted “Joy” Sign

Stain a 2 x 2 project panel with your favorite stain color.

Once it’s dry, drill a hole in the panel using a spade bit, then start threading the LED rope light through.

Use rope light clips to spell and secure the word “Joy” in place. The rope light can be stiff, so it will help if you have another person to help hold the rope light in place as you secure the clips. You can also use painter’s tape to hold the rope light in place as you secure it to the board.

Then drill another hole to feed the remaining light rope through the back. Plug in, and light up!

Use a hammer and a picture hanging kit to display your project almost anywhere.

It’s a quick DIY project to add a festive glow to any room this Christmas.
